I've had a couple of clients ask me what happens if you don't receive the services for which you've contracted. Here are 6 tips to follow.
- Withhold final payment.
- Write a letter to the vendor explaining your position and ask for a return of your deposit.
- Take the vendor to small claims court.
- File a complaint with the Better Business Bureau in the state where the vendor is located.
- Report the case to your state's Department of Consumer Affairs.
- Hire a lawyer and sue to recover your deposit. Your contract should stipulate a full refund for non-delivery of services.
Of course most vendors provide you with the best service and some even go above and beyond the call of duty.
