6 Tips On How To Avoid Problems with Vendors

I've had a couple of clients ask me what happens if you don't receive the services for which you've contracted.  Here are 6 tips to follow.

1. Withhold final payment.
2. Write a letter to the vendor explaining your position and ask for a return of your deposit.
3. Take the vendor to small claims court. 
4. File a complaint with the Better Business Bureau in the state where the vendor is located.
5. Report the case to your state's Department of Consumer Affairs.
6. Hire a lawyer and sue to recover your deposit.  Your contract should stipulate a full refund for non-delivery of services.

Of course most vendors provide you with the best service and some even go above and beyond the call of duty.
