The New Wedding Fad: Dessert Bars and Dessert Buffets

Dessert bars and buffets seem to be a new fad in the wedding world. They’re fun, easy on the wallet, and add some “eye-candy” at your reception. The best part—this DIY project can be made match your specific wedding theme or color scheme!

But why leave this sweet piece of art in the corner of the room? Incorporating the dessert buffet into each table as part of the centerpiece could be a fun way to not only make the centerpiece look “fuller”, but also a way to entertain guests while they are waiting for the night’s festivities. You can also include personalized paper bags (think “The Sweet Factory” store at your local shopping mall) at each setting, for guests to pick and choose their own goodies to-go as their party favors

Wedding Inspiration: Place Cards Used As Wedding Favors

Here's a great idea on how you can save money by killing two birds with one stone (well not really killing any birds...just a phrase).  My fabulous clients came up with a brilliant way to use their place cards also for wedding favors.  They used mini champagne bottles as place cards and the wedding favor.  Keeping with the theme, they used a large bottle of champagne as the table number.  The guest loved the idea of taking champagne home and it was definitely a change from the usual candy, coasters, etc.  This idea was a major hit with the guest and definitely a conversation piece. Be creative and have fun planning your wedding!

Unconventional Venues

On a tight budget? First-choice venue booked? Looking to have that one-of-a-kind wedding? Whatever your circumstance, everyone wants their big day to be unique and memorable. Consider some alternatives to take advantage of potentially lower costs and unique photo backdrops.

Keep in mind, that opting out of the all-inclusive hotel package means that you’ll have to do a lot of legwork yourself and costs of hiring independent vendors yourself can be pricey. In addition, it’ll take some negotiating and lots of creativity to use venues that do not normally host large parties or events.
